MRSA 'Superbug' and MMS: Dialogue with a Reader

My article, A Stupor for Superbugs, stimulated quite a few thoughts for Rett, who wrote the following. Thank you, in advance.

An interesting article to say the least…but there are some points that I must challenge.

Go right ahead. No sacred cows here.

Domestic terrorism? Why is it domestic terrorism to state what is happening to people.

It’s terrorism because it needlessly engenders alarm in a large population of people when in fact, that same population could have been informed of options they have that would render them unaffected by the bacteria.

I have no problem with reporting these new developments. However, the effect of the reporting raises anxiety levels, putting people “on guard” for the next nemesis. People who are fearfully expecting more calamity, tend not to question or resist it, much less take steps to pre-empt or prevent it.

It’s domestic because the propagators of the alarm are an integral part of our culture. They’re our people. It’s an “inside job” by people we trust to know better… but don’t.

It is only in how you choose to react to information that determines whether you are terrorized or not.

I absolutely agree.

You are always in the position of power in your emotional and intellectual response.

I absolutely agree. It would be wonderful to communicate that to people who don’t yet understand that. Spinning additional stories on how MRSA infections could surpass AIDS, is sheer speculation, particularly if the public is informed of options that would mitigate the threat.

Personally I’d rather know the facts so that I can intelligently prepare for what ever is heading down the pike. Just because others might get into the being terrified stance thats their deal. Not mine, and certainly not yours if you choose otherwise.

Good for you, and me. The people that don’t know better can know. Once upon a time journalists actually checked out many sides of a story before they reported them. In the same way that we have free speech, but cannot yell “fire!” in a crowded theater (if there isn’t one), it’s not wise to yell “superbug!” to an uninformed population without letting them know they need not be alarmed.

I think the fear mongering as you call it is way too late to raise the precautionary flags that should have been hung long long ago. We should not let a sudden revelation of the facts be twisted in our minds into a terrorist tactic.

I have no problem with the information. My problem is with the interpretation that went along with it. Through mass communications, the public continues to be guided toward the mindset of inevitable victimhood.

“You’re no match for that little bug,” is what one drug ad says over and over, while trying to convince us that we need to take it for the rest of our life, or at least, ask our doctor if we need to, and be open to that possibility.

There used to be a concept called “Truth in Advertising,” but it doesn’t apply anymore. If you’re an advertiser who may also own significant shares in the network, you can say pretty much what you want. If you have a product that renders the network’s major shareholder’s product unnecessary, there’s very little chance it’s going to be heard or seen.

Hospitals, due to greed and ignorance could have stopped this epidemic long ago. They turned a blind eye to it and I do see them as culpable. The CDC supported, through their ignorance this epidemic development. Most hospitals today are full of filth.

I agree with you. However, that filth is good for business. In addition to the toxic treatment strategies, it contributes to the maintenance of disease.

They are visited by our weakest and most vulnerable population. People who are uneducated in the naturapathic philosophy, sick, wounded, economically disadvantaged, the elderly, or those too young to defend themselves, are their most popular guests.

All the more reason to educate rather than alarm. We need to free ourselves of bogeymen, not brace ourselves for more. There is a psychological burden carried, and cost paid, when we feel we don’t have adequate answers for the challenges that we face. Truth is, we have more than adequate answers. We’ve got the goods. When you know it, you feel better, not only about yourself, but about life itself. And when you feel good about yourself and about life, the immune system is bolstered.

The reality of MRSA is extreme. It is coming to a school, a gym and a shopping cart near you. It has infiltrated my fair city and I see and hear about it every day.

Maybe so… maybe it’s always been here, except in the days when immune systems were immune systems, it didn’t matter. We’ve identified a certain strain of staff particularly by its ability to be unaffected by a certain antibiotic. It is natural to have a population of anaerobic bacteria in the gut. They serve a naturally beneficial purpose for being there. The bacteria we’re calling MRSA has always had the ability to make changes to itself if it served the purpose of its host. It’s our perception that is skewed, our understanding that is missing.

If we have a healthy understanding of ourselves, and our physical, mental, and spiritual nature, we need not worry about MRSA, no matter where we are.

If you think this is fear mongering I am sorry. This is a statement of hard cold fact that has been hidden from the people for 15 years! I have been watching and tracking the development of this plague since the late 1980’s. Which does not say a lot because there has not been much of anything to track till recently, when state authorities have started at least in some states to require reporting of cases by medical facilities.

It’s fear mongering to me because the levels have risen along with the casualties when neither were necessary. Even if we say that’s water under the bridge, it’s certainly not necessary to be alarmed today, if we have the courage to embrace new ways of maintaining and/or restoring our health.

Anyone who works in a hospital can tell you of the increase in cases over the last 20 years. It is a known fact amongst medical staff.

I believe you.

If you have the education and intelligence to get yourself alkaline that is fine and well and I am glad for you to have had the opportunity to have been lead to some of the facts of life, or at least what you state as facts. I am also glad for you to be able to afford the organic diet and all the wonderful supplements that you take.

Being alkaline isn’t a class thing. Every human being is capable of doing so. I can’t say whether I am alkaline or not. I rarely eat organic food and take few supplements. Look: we’re all going to leave this reality just as surely as we entered it. We’ll “die” for this reason or that. I’m only suggesting that we’re living in fear needlessly, based on “truths,” that are untrue. Everyone has some drama. It’s part of being human. Life is far more satisfying when we overcome our fears, for it is then that we realize that they didn’t warrant such concern in the first place.

I am not fully convinced that being alkaline will protect you from this bug. I sure would like to see the documentation to prove it.

Where is the proof that an alkaline system of ph 7 will keep you from getting this MRSA bug?

Where is the proof that it won’t?

Are you a ph of 7? Would you willingly expose yourself to this bacteria so we can check it out?

I don’t need convincing. If were that insecure in my position to try to convince you, agreeing with me would be the last thing you’d so. Every individual must gain their own understanding. If you don’t see, or agree with my point, it’s your prerogative. You have presented your questions intelligently, and as such, I have responded.

But for the vast vast majority of people it is a devastating disease and all us alkaline folks will be contending with it because our loved ones have not all or even nearly all, done what it takes to protect themselves.

I’m suggesting here that those who are contending with it have within them, the power to change. No one has been denied this ability. However, it begins, not with physical nourishment, but with mental and spiritual support, which need not cost a penny.

Although I do understand that ph may play a role in immunity, I have seen some very alkaline folks over the years get sick. It is not impossible. In fact, does not Jim Humble refute some of the alkaline argument in his book? I do think I stand more on his side on this one.

I have talked to him about MRSA, and he seems to be saying the same thing. At issue now is finding people with it, and treating them. He is as confident as I am that “the bug” wouldn’t stand a chance.

And while we’re at it… these people appear to be thinking the same thing.

New MRSA Bacteria Killer Registered by EPA http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/30105.php

The company in the story is selling… guess what? Chlorine dioxide, in concentrations up to 500 times that which is being used as MMS. Their product has been registered by the EPA as an MSRA killer. The company calls chlorine dioxide “an ideal biocide because of its ability to kill viruses, bacteria, fungi, and algae at low saturation levels (parts per million) in a manner that does not allow pathogens to build resistance to the compound.”

That’s pretty much what I understood, particularly the last portion of that last sentence. That’s not me talking… it’s science, it’s Mother Nature; and it’s the way it is.

Then again, although many or most drugs have an acidic ph there are other mechanisms at work regarding their effectiveness or ineffectiveness on a bacteria. Ph does not have a leading role in an antibiotics ability to kill any particular germ. It is a complicated science and not a science with much clarity. If ph were the sole issue in killing a bacteria they would be a lot easier to kill.

You’re right. pH is just a gauge, not “the issue” at all. It’s the factors that influence pH that are the issue.

First and foremost drugs create drug disease. They will ALWAYS impair the immune system and this is a fact that the consumer must come to terms with.

I think many consumers have accepted this as a general rule. What they have not done, in my opinion, is realized and understood that they have reasonable alternatives that don’t require them to become further “impaired” in order to have their health “repaired.” Most people have simply grown to accept the prospective impairment that their doctor, and the industry that he or she serves, sells them on.

When drugs are used many things must be done to support and nourish the body to keep it from further damage. Children are being damaged from the get go with vaccination. We now have a whole society compromised by vaccination as well as other environmental pollutants.

Amen to that!

I also have not seen any evidence that MRSA can be treated with MMS.

Only because there has been no MMS to talk about relative to MRSA before now. You put a lot of faith in the bug. Now if your faith in Mother Nature were the just the size of a mustard seed…

I would surely love to see this if it exists. Even a good solid antidotal with a lab. culture report to bear it out as documentation would be appreciated and I will post it on my site.

We agree on this, and I believe this will happen.

If MMS can effectively treat MRSA we shall raise the celebratory flags! It is cheap and harmless when done according to instruction. Anyone should be able to cure themselves of this terrible disease if it is true for just a few dollars.

Agreed.

What I do know is that MRSA can be treated with garlic, ozone, UVB therapy, phage therapy. At least there are case studies and some documentation to prove their effectiveness.

Even if there were no MMS, this kind of information should be given simultaneously when the alarm is sounded.

Lets keep our eyes and ears open.

And if anyone has a documented case of MRSA that is not responding to treatment I will personally send them a free bottle of MMS. Just email me with contact information. I will want to talk to you on the phone. rettanderson@gmail.com

I also strongly recommend that MRSA folks go to www.HealthSalon.org and look at the other potential treatments for MRSA.

Rett, thank you for writing. Health Salon is one of the links on this blog. It’s a great place for useful information.
