Thoughts on God: Why 'S%&t' Happens

Last December I published an essay titled, Thoughts on God: When ‘S%&t’ Happens. After reading a flurry of books (the flurry continues, because three more are on the way), let’s take a “behind the scenes” look why “S%&t” happens.

While many of you know exactly what I’m talking about, some of you might be inclined to ask, “What is ‘S%&t?'” You won’t find the word “S%&t” in Merriam-Webster, or Wikipedia, two of my favorite links for clarifying or expanding on the subjects that we cover here. The term is a euphemism for life’s stinkers; unpleasant or unwanted experiences and situations that we’d prefer not to have, or might otherwise avoid. Life’s “crap” would be another apt reference.

Having “everything to going for you” in one second, only to suddenly be accosted, shot, carjacked, left to die and fighting for your life, the next, would be an example of “s%&t” happening to someone. This very scenario happened to a distant nephew of mine in Chicago, just a week ago. Now, he still exists, he still lives… but only as a memory in this reality; he no longer has a physical presence. My nephew had found a car that he loved… put his heart and soul into it to fix it up… only to catch the attention of someone emboldened enough by his own personal “god” (spelled, g-u-n) to take it from him, and his physical life with it. From our perspective, that would be “s%&t.”

I’m sure you get my drift. “S%&t” could be an act of violence. It could be contracting a disease, losing your health, home, or love. War is certainly an extreme example (not for the “leaders,” but for the soldiers). The silent, invisible, reverberating trauma that soldiers return home with, often to die a much slower death with the memories of the sudden death they brought upon others. That’s major “s%&t!”

But the question we’re addressing today is why “s%&t” happens. It seems quite evident to me now, that it’s no accident. These experiences don’t “happen,” they are chosen. That’s right; chosen.

“Chosen by who…” you ask?

They are chosen, not by some “evil” or malevolent entity, but by the Highest Aspect of YOU and me. They are not chosen to make us suffer, or to “punish” us, not because we’ve been “bad,” but in order to balance, transmute, or otherwise nullify and discharge the dissonant vibratory energy that we carry unconsciously within our own energy fields. This energy, buried deep within the human psyche, and “stored” within Mother Earth, is personified anger, fear, resentment, and disease. It is expressed on a macro level as monsoons, tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, and other disasters, both natural and man-made. These are the ghosts of other times and places; the pain and terror of other lives; they are what we fear so deeply, that we have been unwilling to look at within ourselves.

What??!!

This is one reason I continue to raise the subject of self-awareness and mastery, tolerance, foregiveness, truth, and love, and knowing who you are.

Ever wonder why, although the planet Earth is estimated to be 4.6 billion hears in age, the most ancient evidence of pre-human “hominids” dates only 4.4 million years, and Neanderthal Man a scant 100,000 years ago? The first evidence of Homo Sapiens goes back only to 7700 B.C. when settlements were started in the area of Mesopotamia, where the Tigris and Euphrates rivers flowed, which is now present day Iraq. Humanity is living in a state amnesia on a very large scale.

If we are not our physical bodies… if we are indeed spirit… if we are aspects and expressions of God, it might be reasonable to think that our “story” (both “his” and “hers”) would extend far beyond that time, and not be limited to the planet Earth. The books I read address these very subjects.

Evidence does suggest that intelligent human civilizations did indeed exist on Earth prior to 10,000 years ago, in Atlantis, and before that, Lemuria. But for beings who are, in truth, timeless, even 50,000 years ago should be meaningless as a limitation.

Some of the books I’ve been referring to (see list below), which are channeled, extend the human story back much further in time, to events that occurred on earth, and in the heavens, including on other planets within our solar system. These include Venus, Mars, Maldek (which is now the asteroid belt), and Nibiru, which completes an orbital journey around the sun every 3,600 years, but will return again in 2012. The story also includes beings from other parts of the galaxy, including the Pleiades, Sirius, Alcyone, Andromeda, Orion, The Galactic Center, and others.

Most of these locales are known to astronomers. Some have yet to be discovered. What is amazing though, is the consistency and complementary nature of the messages from different “non-physical” beings communicating through different individuals (channels) present now on earth. And the beauty of this is that, for those who respect and understand kinesiological muscle testing, these “facts” can be verified by our higher self to satify a doubting mind. The profound, consistent messages of beingness that they convey, can be instantly verified by the heart.

Even though we now KNOW about plate techtonics and continental drift… even though 7/10ths of the planet’s surface is covered with water, we ASSUME that life began, and civilizations existed only in areas we have access to, and therefore, can study. Yet, even on the surface, there’s plenty evidence… of consciousness and intelligence on a level that we are still endeavoring to fathom… particularly in the pyramids of Egypt and Central America, of extra-terrestrial visitations and interactions.

If you’re wondering what all this has to do with why “s%&t” happens, the answer is everything. Whether you believe in extra-terrestrial interactions, either historically, or in the current day, much has indeed happened that either hasn’t made our official history books, or is shrouded in conjecture and myth. Yet, we’re finding evidence of truth, even in mythology.

All of it is human experience. Whether you are open to stories of star seeding by beings from other planets and constellations, of little “grays” or 7-foot goddesses, it is clear that the human “story” includes all that has happened, as well as all of the impressions that were created as a result of said happenings. This includes devils and demons, reptilian beings, Illuminati, shapeshifters, etc.

Much has happened that make no contextual sense today, and has been swept under the carpet of conscious memory. However, it is part of our vast collective and individual unconscious.

What we are just beginning to understand as a species, is that what we do has repercussions, not only in our body, mind, and spirit (soul), but in the electromagnetic memories of the planet itself.

In addition, the imbalances that we have been party to — whether we were aware or unaware — we are obliged to reconcile. However, due to several factors, including:

  1. duality, the apparent separateness; progenitor of consciousness and the unconscious
  2. mortality; the appearance of birth and death, and sense that we live but one life
  3. ambivalence about, if not disbelief in reincarnation
  4. perceived disconnect from, and dissimilarity to God (and each other)
  5. perceived worthiness/unworthiness to love and be loved (by God and each other)
  6. perceived disparity/inequality of ability, with respect to power, intelligence, awareness, ability, etc.
  7. Sense of being “alone” in the Universe which is actually teaming with life everywhere, that we cannot perceive for vibrational reasons.

Actually, all of these concepts flow out of our belief in duality, especially beginnings and endings. It’s easy for us to see (and fear) “the end,” but hard for us to conceive of actually being without beginning or end. And since that is not a predominant social concept yet, we still try such things as murder and all manners of political, religious, commercial, and scientific subterfuge. To the extent that it is being done, vibrational shockwaves are still being created, which will need to be balanced and reharmonized.

These disturbances are stored… within the earth, and within our personal energy bodies. They manifest in our reality as environmental or personal events and experiences that influence our ever evolving self-perception. Yet, we are each embued with the power to change, not only ourselves, but the world. This is what every great teacher has taught.

The savior, lives within.

The key to unveiling this mighty power is through opening ourselves to the oneness that unites, more so than distances us. Those who we see as grossly dissimilar to the extent that their actions are “evil” and ours our “good,” are extensions of us. When we can embrace that truth with love, our personal world will change. As personal worlds change, so shall the collective one.

Irrespective of what we consciously believe, “s%&t” happens because each human being has the power to take part in the collective transformation of The Whole. I refer not only the whole of humanity, but of the planet too.

Every choice to be loving in the face of hatred changes the course of the world. Every choice to forgive and listen rather than to chastise and dictate, opens doors to new, more desirable and liveable realms of possibility. Every shread of guilt that is released through self-acceptance, life honored, and harm chosen against, clears a conscience for divine input and insight. Can any of you really imagine that if we made an earnest attempt to do this in addressing Iraq and the Middle East, that the Islamic community wouldn’t have to treat us differently? They can bluster all they want, but if we choose not to be a harmful threat, even though we could blow them all away, they would have acknowledge it over time.

We have an ever-present choice: to love ourselves and each other, or remain blind and deaf to the way of the heart and spirit.

When “s%&t” happens, it’s not punishment; it’s not retribution. It’s an opportunity to be of service, both to one’s Highest Self and the Whole, by expanding and brightening one’s own light.

If you resent the “s%&t”
It won’t quit.
If you love instead,
We will all move ahead.

I’m sure I’ll have more to say… in time.
